The third Qingdao Multinationals Summit will take place in Qingdao, Shandong province from June 20 to 21, as part of the country's efforts to accelerate high-level opening-up and boost global economic recovery.

Compared with previous editions, this year's summit has been greatly optimized in terms of agenda setting, guest structure and activity arrangement, according to organizers.

Focusing on the cooperation between transnational corporations and China, the summit has attracted much attention, as it aims to demonstrate China's determination to promote a higher level of opening-up, share development opportunities with transnational corporations, achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, and jointly promote the global economic recovery.

In response to common challenges faced by all parties, the summit has formulated six related topics that focus on global industrial and supply chains, the implementation and effectiveness of the RCEP agreement, innovation in economic and social development, ecological protection, green and low-carbon transformation, and intellectual property rights and the business environment.

It provides an efficient communication channel and exchange platform for multinational companies, industry and commerce, and political and academic circles to interpret policies, share information and discuss and exchange, and solicit suggestions on the formulation and implementation of specific measures.

The summit, which will only last for two days, has a rich agenda. It will cover 41 activities in 14 categories, 35 of which will be held during the summit, according to the organizers.

The previous two editions achieved fruitful outcomes. The first summit was attended by leaders from 115 Fortune 500 companies and 284 global industry leaders. The second summit gathered leaders from 390 Fortune 500 companies and nearly 517 global industry leaders.

After the second summit, according to a survey conducted by a third-party organization, 95.5 percent of the participants thought that their participation in the summit was fruitful, and 97 percent of the VIP participants were satisfied with the summit.

This year, more heavyweights and industry giants will attend the summit, according to the organizers.
